L-Lysine Usage
1. Nutritional supplements. Used to fortify lysine in foods. The content of lysine in plant protein is generally low. Lysine contained in rye, rice, corn, peanut flour, etc. is a restricted amino acid, and lysine contained in wheat, sesame, and oats is the first restricted amino acid. Japan’s fortified prescribed dosage (calculated as L-lysine): 150mg/100g for wheat flour, macaroni, instant noodles, etc.; 100mg/100g for bread, biscuits, etc.; instant noodles 50mg/100g. It can still be used in mayonnaise, milk powder, milk, convenience food, etc. The minimum daily requirement for adults (calculated as L-lysine): about 0.8g for men, about 0.4g for women, 12~32mg/kg for young people, 180mg/kg for children (1gL-lysine is equivalent to L-lysine Hydrochloride 1.25g).
2. Used in biochemical research and medicine for the symptoms of malnutrition, loss of appetite and hypoplasia.
3. Lysine is one of the essential amino acids for human and animal growth. It has important uses in infusion, nutritional medicine, food and feed additives.
4. Used as food fortifiers and feed additives, and also for medical purposes. Mainly used as food fortifiers and nutritional supplements. It can also improve the performance and efficacy of certain drugs. Use as amino acid medicine
It is mainly used as food fortifier and nutritional supplement, and can also improve the performance and efficacy of some drugs.
L-Lysine production method
L-Lysine is generally supplied to the market as L-Lysine hydrochloride [657-27-2]. Free L-Lysine is very deliquescent. Because of its free amino group, it is easy to turn yellow and become irritating. It is difficult to preserve for a long time.
L-lysine hydrochloride is relatively stable, not easy to deliquesce, and is easy to store. However, the demand for L-lysine is also increasing in some applications, such as peptide synthesis chemistry, biochemical research, and preparation of lysine derivatives. Free L-lysine can be prepared from L-lysine hydrochloride.
L-Lysine Chemical nature
White or nearly white free-flowing crystalline powder. Almost odorless. Melting and decomposing at 263~264℃. Usually relatively stable, easy to agglomerate under high humidity, slightly colored. It is stable when the relative humidity is below 60%, and dihydrate is formed when the relative humidity is above 60%. Coexist with vitamin C and vitamin K3 to color. It is decomposed by heating in the presence of alkaline conditions and directly with reducing sugars. It is easily soluble in water (40g/100ml, 35°C), and the aqueous solution is neutral to slightly acidic. It is heated together with phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, ion exchange resin, etc. to play a racemic effect. Lysine is an essential amino acid. If it is lacking, it will cause protein metabolism and dysfunction, leading to growth disorders. D-lysine has no physiological effect.
