Itaconic Acid Usage
1. It is an important monomer for preparing synthetic fibers, synthetic resins and plastics, and ion exchange resins; it can also be used as a lining agent for carpets, a coating agent for paper, a binder, a dispersion latex for coatings, and the like.
2. The ester derivative of itaconic acid can be used for copolymerization of styrene or the like or a plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride.
