CAPRYLOHYDROXAMIC ACID Usage

Chelation effect: CHA has high selective chelation of Fe2+ and Fe3+ in iron-limited environments, and mold growth is limited; iron is a key element of microbial growth. Microorganisms release chelating agents to capture Fe3+ from the environment. And it is converted into Fe2+; CHA chelate Fe3+ has a high stability constant, which can prevent mold from obtaining iron.
Short-chain activity: Like octanediol, it also has the best carbon chain length (C8) that promotes the degradation of cell membrane structure, which leads to the leakage of proteins and ions in the intracellular part, and finally the death of the cells. As an organic acid, an organic acid can attack a mold only when it is dispersed in an undissociated state. CHA is an organic acid that remains unionized throughout the acid to neutral phase.
