D(+)-Tryptophan Usage
As a non-protein active amino acid, D-tryptophan has special physiological properties, and can be used as a non-nutritive sweetener, feed additive, plant growth agent in the food and feed industry and agriculture.
In the pharmaceutical industry, it is mainly used to synthesize various peptides, instead of L-tryptophan to prolong the half-life of peptide drugs and reduce side effects, so as not to cause drug resistance and become an important synthetic precursor of enzyme inhibitors.
It can improve the body’s immunity and delay the occurrence of allergic reactions. Most peptide antibiotics can resist Gram-positive bacteria, and some have good inhibition or killing effects on Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycobacterium, fungi, pathogens, pathogens and tumor cells.
