1.It is used as flocculant in water treatment industry. It is also used for the removal of low solid mud in petroleum geological drilling.
2.A settling agent (sugar promoter) in the sugar industry; a film-forming agent.
3.As a flocculant for water-based drilling fluids, it can improve the rheological properties of drilling fluids and reduce friction.
4.It is used as soil conditioner and flocculant, and can be used for textile sizing and papermaking reinforcement.
5.Polyacrylamide (PAM) is an important water-soluble polymer, and has many valuable properties, such as flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, resistance reduction, dispersion and so on. These properties have different emphasis on the derivatives of ions. Therefore, it is widely used in oil extraction, mineral processing, coal washing, metallurgy, chemical industry, paper making, textile, sugar making, medicine, environmental protection, building materials, agricultural production and other sectors.
