Maltitol Usage
It can be used as a sweetener for cold drinks, pastries, concentrated juices, biscuits, breads, pickles and sweets. The amount depends on the “normal production needs”. As a low-calorie sugar sweetener, it is suitable for patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, arteriosclerosis, hypertension and obesity. It is a non-fermentable sugar and can be used as an anti-cavity sweetener. It can also be used as a quality improver for preserves, thickeners, moisturizers and rice crackers such as candied fruit. It also has the effect of improving the flavor of sodium saccharin.
