It is used as a foam booster , conditioner , thickener and antistatic agent for shampoo , liquid detergent and foam bath , and it is also a raw material for synthesizing amphoteric surfactants . 3 . DDAO is a non-denaturing zwitterionic detergent of approximately 1 mM (CMC ) , which is used to solubilize proteins and study protein configuration and intermolecular interactions .
