Description of Kojic acid
- Afric acid (C6H6O4; 5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl) -4-pyranone) , also known as Kojic acid or Ju acid, is a chelating agent secreted by a variety of fungi, particularly Aspergillus oryzae.
