It is a weakly acidic drug, in molecular form at lower pH conditions, which facilitates the absorption of the drug. It is used clinically for the treatment of post-surgical pain, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, to relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, to delay the bone pathological changes caused by arthritis, and to selectively inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and anti-inflammation at the site of inflammation. It is particularly suitable for elderly patients. This product is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 145-148°C.
What’s the application of Etodolac ?
The recommended dose for acute pain is 0.2-0.4g every 8 hours, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 1.2g. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 20mg/kg body weight in patients under 60kg. Hypen still has an analgesic effect in some patients.2. For chronic diseases: e.g. osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis: the recommended dose is 0.4-1.2g daily, divided into oral doses, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 1.2g, and for people weighing over 60kg, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 20mg/kg body weight. Doses of etodolac below 0.4g daily, administered orally in divided doses, or 0.4g or 0.6g per night, have shown some efficacy in some patients.
