Diallyl disulfide is an organic sulfur compound commonly found in allium plants, such as onions and garlic.
Diallyl disulfide, diallyl trisulfide and diallyl tetrasulfide are the main components of garlic oil. DADS is a light yellow liquid, soluble in water, and contains a strong garlic smell. Garlic or other onion plants will release allicin after cutting. Allicin is decomposed to obtain DADS.
