4-Pyridineacetic acid hydrochloride can be used as an intermediate in pesticide chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry, and can be used in the synthesis of pesticide molecules and pyridine nitrogen-containing ligands. In organic synthesis transformation, 4-pyridineacetic acid hydrochloride can directly hydrogenate the pyridine ring under the action of metal platinum catalyst (without dissociating it from the hydrochloride form) to obtain the corresponding piperidine hydrochloride structure product.
