1. Diethyl diacetate is mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry as an intermediate for phenobarbital, azathioprine, peroxisulfanilamide, sulfamethoxazole, carboxyphenyl ester penicillin, ethylphenoxybenzyl penicillin, chloroquine lactate, thiabendazole, and other drugs. It is also a plastic accelerator and dye intermediate. Also used as a solvent for cellulose esters and spices. Used as acetylene extractant and raw material for dyestuff, medicine, spices, etc.
2. Diethyl ethanoate is often used as a substrate for nucleophilic reagents, mostly for the synthesis of α,γ-dicarbonyl esters [1~3], ketone compounds [4~9], heterocyclic compounds [10~13], etc.
3. Used as a solvent, intermediate of dyestuff, and synthesis of paints and drugs.
