CAS 81-63-0 Method
Phthalic anhydride and hydroquinone are condensed in concentrated sulfuric acid in the presence of boric acid to obtain 1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone.
After the latter is refined with sodium hypochlorite, it is aminated to produce 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone leuco.
