Phthalide Usage
Phthalide is an intermediate of the fungicide phenoxyfen.
Phthalide can be used as an intermediate for fine chemicals.
In the dye industry, it is used to produce dye intermediates 1,4-dichloroanthraquinone and 1-chloroanthraquinone.
In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as an anticoagulant phenylindanedione, a fungicide tetrachlorophthalide, and an anxiolytic drug.
